Visitors to the British Model Flying Association, Nationals event,
were given the chance to win a Jabiru UL which the Popular Flying Association
is raffling this year!
Kevin Pearce of S.T.Aviation had his UL demonstrator aircraft on display and it generated a lot of interest. BMFA and PFA members all have one thing in common - we all love to build and fly our own planes - it's just that some are bigger than others! The flying skills of the modelers in the displays and competitions were top class each displaying skills in their chosen class of flying. These ranged from dogfight control line flying, scale models, precision areobatics, jet turbine etc, etc. |

Several Jabiru owners and builders were at the event, including
Andy Silvester, who has a keen interest in model flying and quite a few aircraft
in the loft, including a motor glider stunt planes and a helicopter! Needles
to say I couldn't rely on him to talk me out of buying an electric powered
radio controlled model plane! Kevin Pearce had bought one moments
before!
How can you go to an event like this and not come away with something! I just need to learn to fly it now - I wonder how many hours it will take to build! |
